What People Say:

Zumba Gold

Zumba Gold

L. Wood

I have been going to Zumba Gold classes for a number of years now, As we get older, it is so important to keep exercising and Zumba Gold is ideal. Easy to follow and no pressure to do the routines perfectly. No one minds if you get the moves wrong, it is all part of the fun. Alison encourages us to "just keep moving" and put in as much effort as we want or are able to. The class is friendly and not at all intimidating. Alison is encouraging, supportive, caring and inspirational. My co-ordination and balance have improved. I feel stronger and, as an Asthmatic, my breathing has benefitted greatly from Zumba Gold exercise. The social aspect, along with the physical exercise, has also played an important role in my mental wellbeing. A huge thank you to Alison for keeping the exercise and social interaction going, at a distance, during these unprecedented times through the magic of Zoom meetings. You have given me a focus, kept me moving and sane.

Stepping On Social

Stepping On Social

"I started the weekly Stepping On Social group about 4 years ago and soon started to feel at home; it’s a very friendly, welcoming group.
The exercises increase stamina, promote good balance and can easily be practised at home while watching tv, for example. Although they aren’t strenuous, they do warm you up!
Afterwards we enjoy a cuppa, cake and chat.
During the pandemic, the group has had the opportunity to meet weekdays online via Zoom.
We are a friendly group of up to 12, men and women, who would welcome anyone new who’d like to try it."

Themed Afternoons

Themed Afternoons

I have attended several themed events organised for the benefit of many. All just happy to be entertained and meet other people.
The latest event was the Christmas lunch where we were provided with a 3-course festive lunch but not before we all had fun Las Vegas style playing the tables!
The tables provided were all authentic, but no money was needed to have a go - it was great fun! We were also entertained by a very professional swing singer who took us back to Elvis and Frank Sinatra and all the popular singers of our generation.
These events have all been very well organised and well recieved providing both pleasure for carers and those being cared for.
